Mr. Beidler has directed a number of award winning plays at Trabuco including: Hidden - The Story of Anne Frank (which he wrote), The Girl In The Mirror, Little Women, A Midsummer Night’s  Dream and Flowers for Algernon (All receiving 1st place in the Orange County Superintendents Competition.) Voices From The High School and The Miser (2nd place Orange County Superintendents Competition.) Amadeus (1st place Overall Technical  Production Saddleback College High School Theatre Festival, and 2nd place Orange County  Superintendents Competition.)

Musicals directed by Mr. Beidler include, Oliver (1986), Grease (1987, 1997, 2011), Oklahoma (1988, 1998), Bye, Bye Birdie (1989, 2003), Annie (1990), Little Shop of Horrors (1991, 1994, 2009), Once Upon A Mattress (1992, 2010), Prom Queens Unchained, Stars In Their Eyes (for which he wrote the book.) The Wizard of OZ, Annie Get Your Gun,(2000), Fiddler On The Roof (2001), Cinderella (2002), The Wiz (2004), Disney’s Beauty And The Beast (2005), Anything Goes (2006), Sweet Charity (2007), Footloose (2008), Scrooge The Musical (2006, 2007).

Mr. Beidler has directed over 100 plays including: The Taming of The Shrew, Arsenic and Old Lace, Imaginary Invalid, The Merry Wives of Windsor, David and Lisa, A Christmas Carol, Romeo and Juliet, Our Town, Lady Audley's Secret, Playing For Time, Blithe Spirit, Steel Magnolias, Play It Again Sam, Belles, Twelfth Night, Anna Karenina, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Man Who Came To Dinner, Fools, Dracula, Shrew - The Musical, The Odd Couple, Black Comedy, You Can’t Take It with You, Up The Down Stair Case, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Get Smart, Les Miserables, and Mirrors I-XXI.

Mr. Beidler also has directed and written pieces for Drama II and Production Co. at THHS. These include adaptations of: Spoon River Anthology, Our Town, Romeo and Juliet, The Legend of Arthur - King of the Britons , King Arthur, (The Musical), A Christmas Carol, Anastasia – Lost Princess, Hester, (the story of Hester Prynne)  Eva (one woman show biography of Eva Peron), The Diary of Adam and Eve. In addition to these adaptations Mr. Beidler has written numerous pieces for Mirrors, the full length piece, Hidden – The Story of Anne Frank, the book for the musical Stars in Their Eyes, Broken Hearts and Mended Dreams, and most recently, An Unnecessary Act.

In addition to directing, Mr. Beidler has performed a variety of roles in an acting capacity. Roles include, Sir John Falstaff and Master Page in Shakespeare's Merry Wives of Windsor, Monsieur Diaforous in The Imaginary Invalid, The Mayor in Bye, Bye Birdie, The Reverend in Arsenic and Old Lace, Old Joe and Mr. Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol, Sir Michael Audley in Lady Audley's Secret, Dr. Bradman in Blithe Spirit, and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III in Love Letters. 

Mr. Beidler is a graduate of UC Irvine and has been a teacher for 41 years. He lives in Mission Viejo with his wife Reesa and has one son, Steven.

Mr. Beidler is a multiple honoree in ‘Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers”, 1978 Saddleback Valley Intermediate Teacher of the Year, a nominee for the Disney Outstanding Teacher Award, the 2004 Trabuco Hills High School Teacher of Recognition, the Saddleback Unified School District High School Teacher of The Year, and a semi-finalist for Orange County Teacher of The Year 2004.
